Loveline is for adults aged 18 and over. Dates happen by voice in your browser, with controls to leave, report and block. These controls help you decide what to share and when to stop; they cannot guarantee another person's behaviour.
Age and photo checks
Age and profile details are self-declared. There is no background check. Your saved date of birth is locked; if it is wrong, support can correct it.
One recent primary photo clearly showing your face is required. Staff manually review every photo before it is visible to another attendee. This checks content, not identity. Two additional photos are recommended but optional. No nudity, genitalia, explicit sexual content, misleading alteration or unsafe imagery.
What your partner sees
Your first name and calculated age are shown during dates. Optional non-contact profile fields you agreed to share have the same visibility during dates and on connection profiles. DOB stays private.
The approved primary photo appears in the final 60 seconds. It stops being available when either guest leaves or reports the date; blocks, withdrawn consent and safety action can revoke access sooner. A connection unlocks only approved optional secondary photos and selected phone, email or Instagram details. Providing your login contacts does not itself authorise sharing.
Only two explicitly confirmed yeses create a connection, subject to consent and safety checks. Your individual choices and notes remain private. Choices close ten minutes after the actual event end, including an early finish. A safety hold does not extend that deadline.
Leaving and reporting
Tap End this date and confirm to move to waiting. You do not need a reason. A technical drop is different: recover the same date while its place remains available, or follow the next opportunity shown.
Tap Report and confirm to leave before completing the form. Choose a category and write what happened. The form retains the original partner and date through scheduled transitions, and you return to dating explicitly. You can report earlier dates from My Events without needing a connection, or report a visible photo/profile.
Every report reaches staff. The first qualifying in-event report warns; a second independent qualifying report in the same event creates an admin-lobby hold for staff review. Safeguards prevent duplicates and coordinated reports from driving automatic escalation. Staff can act urgently without waiting for two reports. A report is a concern, not proof of guilt, and bans across events are manual decisions.
Hosts do not listen to private dates
Hosts see attendance, technical connection state and reports. They never join or listen to private dates, and Loveline never records or transcribes date audio. A separate staff conversation in the admin lobby is voluntary, with explicit microphone controls.
No recording is needed as evidence: explain what happened in your own words. Recording or photographing someone else's revealed profile breaches the rules. We cannot physically prevent another attendee using a second device.
Blocking and deletion
Blocks prevent future pairing and further profile/contact access in both directions. They cannot erase details already delivered or saved. We do not identify reporters, though timing can allow someone to infer who reported them.
You can withdraw sharing or delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your public profile, photos, saved game answers and ordinary account data. Reports and minimal restricted enforcement records remain only for their disclosed purposes and retention periods. Read the privacy policy for the detail.
Support and meeting afterwards
Use in-app reports for immediate safety exits, and contact the team for support or an appeal. The team monitors support email during events with a five-minute acknowledgement target and responds outside events within two working days. Email is not an emergency service.
A connection is no obligation to continue talking or meet. If you meet in person, choose a public place, arrange your own transport and tell someone you trust. Read the safety page, guidelines and terms before booking.
