How it works
Join a hosted online dating event from wherever you feel comfortable, and begin with a voice. Here is how the evening unfolds.
The event, in order.
- Arrive
- Test your mic and speaker output before dates begin.
The lobby opens fifteen minutes before the advertised start.
- One-to-one dates
- Time to talk with each person.
Your dates connect on the host’s schedule. There is no video.
- Between dates
- A pause to answer and take a breath.
Leave a private yes, maybe or no impression and a note.
- After each date
- Keep a private first impression.
Final choices close 10 minutes after the recorded event end.
Four things happen, in this order.
- 01
Sign in and make your profile
Confirm your email and mobile, confirm you are 18 or over, and add a first name and an approved primary photo before participating. Your age is self-declared. The birth date you enter stays private.
- 02
Make a little room in your evening
Join in your browser, test your mic and speakers, confirm you can hear the test sound and settle in. Somewhere else, someone is putting their headphones on and doing the same. A host welcomes everyone before the conversations begin.
- 03
One-to-one voice dates
The host starts the event and your first date connects on its own. Somebody says hello, and it is just the two of you. Then a pause to breathe, and the next voice. The event listing sets the fixed length of each date and gap. Dates are audio only. Your approved primary photo appears in the final 60 seconds of the date; optional secondary photos and selected contact details wait for a confirmed connection.
- 04
Say yes or no, privately
After each date you note a first impression only you see. You can confirm who you would like to meet again after each completed date, and review everyone at the end. They never find out unless you both said yes.
- Fifteen minutes before
- The lobby opens. Test your mic and speakers.
- When the host starts
- Your first date connects on its own.
- Between dates
- A 45-second default gap gives you time for a private impression and note before the next date.
- After the last date
- Make final choices. They close 10 minutes after the recorded event end.
The thing that makes you want a second conversation is rarely in a profile. Often it is just the way someone tells you about their week.
- A short conversation gives you a chance to decide whether you would like another.
- Nobody is scrolling past you. Everyone turned up on purpose, at the same time, for the same evening, and whoever you are talking to is there for the same reason you are.
What happens once the last date ends
You can confirm final choices after each completed date and review them again at the end. When you both said yes and consent and safety checks permit, both accounts see the connection immediately. The same consented non-contact profile remains visible; only approved optional secondary photos and selected contact details unlock. Paired notifications are released together, though provider arrival times can differ.
Choices close 10 minutes after the event ends, an early finish included, and your review counts down to the exact time. If you have not sent them, we may send factual service reminders when the event ends and again 5 minutes before choices close, subject to channel permission and unless you have opted out. SMS quiet hours run from 23:00 to 8:00 in the event time zone. Anything you have not sent by the close expires unconfirmed: a first impression never creates a connection. Two confirmed yeses create a connection immediately when consent and safety checks permit. A yes becomes fixed when it creates that connection. During a safety hold, choices remain editable until close, then freeze for staff clearance.
Your choices stay private. A confirmed final no at the deadline prevents future pairing; an unanswered choice or provisional no does not create that permanent exclusion. Blocks apply immediately.
If you change your mind after you have both said yes, block them. The reveal comes off both screens and you will not be put on the line together again. Whatever they had already read, they have read.
Blocks last. If you block someone you will not be put on the line with them at a future event.
